About

Food as Landscape Series is a trio of mixed media pieces exhibited in a group exhibition with my fellow art friends of Art Seize at Grids & Circles (permanently closed). Inspired by the cafe’s Japanese fusion menu, I decided to give nature landscapes a little twist.

Matchi Seascape
“Matchi” is a word play of “matcha” and “mochi” and the seascape takes reference from East Coast Park (ECP). Inspired by my favourite dessert, Matcha Anmitsu, I imagined the seascape of ECP being transformed into a big scoop of melting matcha ice cream, with floating mochi balls and red bean seashore. What shall we do with all these ice cream?
