About
What does “黑馬” (hei ma), dark horse represent?
“An unknown or little-regarded competitor that surprises others by winning.”—Bingo Chinese
There are moments you may feel underestimated or unsupported;
you continue trying at your own pace, and you cannot help but feel lonely at times.
Being rooted for feels good, but we can also learn to make do without. May you surprise others by winning in life; in whichever ways victory means to you.
常常不被看好;仍坚持竭尽所能的人,
this is for you.
Symbols
Akhal-Teke, a Turkmen horse breed. They have a reputation for speed and endurance, intelligence, and a distinctive metallic sheen. The shiny coat of the breed led to their nickname, "Golden Horses".—Wikipedia
Conviction in our journeys take confidence; and confidence comes from experience and improved outcomes. Without the latter, confidence may reek self denial.
Hence, the horse I chose to feature—Akhal-Teke is known to have the qualities to undertake treacherous and long winding roads.

Epiphyllum oxypetalum, the Dutchman's pipe cactus, Princess of The Night or Queen of The Night, is a species of cactus with a native range from Mexico to Nicaragua. It blooms nocturnally, and its flowers wilt before dawn.—Wikipedia
The flowers are large and fragrant, shining white like a full moon.
—Southside Blooms
Labelled “late bloomer” or believed to have missed the chance to shine. Maybe, just maybe, there has yet a night dark enough to illuminate your light.
